Now that the baby is sleeping and I have time to write it I want to do my labor story. So they broke my water at 4 a.m. and started the pitoson at 4:30 by 6 a.m I was dilated to 3 centimeters 80% effaced and I was in a lot of pain contractions were 5 to 3 minutes apart. I got my epidural around 6:40 and it was the best thing ever!! They kept increasing the pitoson dosage to get things going because after that I kind of stalled out at 3 centimeters. His heart rate started dropping though so they stopped it put me on oxygen layed me on my side and chilled for a little. His heart rate went back to normal so they started the pitoson again, his heart rate dropped again so they turned it back off. This happend 2 more times before they found a right dosage that didn't make his heart rate drop, I just had to keep the oxygen mask on this was around 12 p.m. After that my nurse told me to try and relax as much as I could. I ended up falling asleep until 2 p.m. she checked me and I was 6 centimeters and 90% effaced! She told me I could go back to sleep it would still probably be a while so I went back to sleep. ( I had been up since 8 a.m. The day before) Around 4:30 p.m. she came back and checked my I was at 8 centimeters. She said it might still be a couple of hours but I decided to stay awake this time. I started feeling pains so I told my nurse it was starting to hurt and I thought something was wrong with the epidural. She gave me.more thru the I.v. and then she checked me I was 9.5 but his heart rate started dropping again so she got everything ready for delivery my legs up called the doctor. It took a little while to get me started but once I did I pushed for a total of 15 minutes and my baby boy came it to the world at 5:29 p.m. 7 pounds and 2 ounces, 22 inches long (:
