he ended up like brushing against the catheter for the monitoring and had a huge scratch on top of his head and then he hit my pelvic bone giving him a big old bruise on his head lol my baby got beat up
@amberlee_94, yeah I had the same thing with the contractions, are you sure that's not normal though and not caused by the pitocin? I didn't have an issue with the heart rate that's scary. I think they even upped the dosage for me, I didn't even need it, it pissed me off they just wanted to rush me out of there.
Very interesting! wish I knew this before I got induced!! the Pitocin made my contractions one on top of the other so they never stopped and they were internal contractions so the belly monitor didn't catch them so I had to have an internal monitor put in.. every time I had a contraction it squeezed my son so much his heart rate was dropping way way low with every contraction so I was on edge the whole time.. my contractions hurt like a mf!! I had to get the epidural 4 hours into my 10 hour labor.. they ended up taking me off pitocin because they were worried I would need a c-section due to how much my son's heart rate was dropping.. When it came time to push my epidural wore off so I felt everything! pushed for 2 hours.. & He was jaundice.
Yeah they wanted to speed up my labor I guess so they gave me that and I got an epidural as well. everything went great, baby scored 9/10 on the apgar I could feel when to push cause it wore off, and it was my first. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.
I've been very against it for many years especially since seeing "The Business of Being Born" and others. I believe medicine is good but doctors over use
