@abbymattingly14, Its been bright red this morning so I called the doc and she said to wait for contractions to start. but if the bleeding gets worse to call back.

Sex can irritate the cervix or even burst a blood vessel. As long as it's not bright red or enough to fill a pad in under an hour it's not anything to be worried about.

I wear the liners too!! Not lame at all! I say smart! And if it were me I would just call to ask about it? But that's just me, you might call and they will say it's A okay but they might ask you to come in too! It's always better to be on the safe side! Mind you I am one of those weirdos who worry about everything!!!

lol i dont even know how to explain it. but when i would wipe there was a little bit of blood too and i had a little bit on my panti liner. it was more mucosy...but not super. and i was supposed to be induced the next day so the nurse just called the doctor and asked if they could start early. so they kept me there. but you never know you could go up and they could keep you. its better to check...

@kaity0117, it's not bright red it's fresh blood but it's mixed with some discharge so it's like a pink. I had a panty liner in when I went to bed 8:30 (I know I'm lame) and had to change it at 1am is that a normal amount?

@juliagail09, what was yours like and why did they keep you? I had it before and went in but it was more mucusy last time and she said it was normal. this time its more watery and there is more

@brittanymetzger7988, my mucus plug has been gone for weeks. I was dilated to 1cm for 3 weeks and they did a membrane sweep and she said it was all gone.

If it's like a dirty booger that's your mucus plug. Blood after sex should be one wipe and gone. If it's continuous bleeding and bright red that's a big red flag.... literally! If it's a decent amount of blood I would call labour and delivery and talk to a nurse there! I have called the maternity ward a couple times when I have had alarming things happen and they have either explained to me what it is and offered to have me come in anyways if it eased my mind... Or they told me to come in and get checked out just in case. They know what's up!!!

i had bloody discharge...i went to l&d....they kept me...but i was supposed to be induced the next day. but you could always go up and see. when i called they were like dont worry its fine...i still worried and went up. lol

I was thinking maybe u might be losing some of ur mucous plug

has ur doctor told u about ur mucous plug?
