my sister in laws won't until 42 weeks. I don't know about mine yet.

That's a doctor I would like. Induction has many risk and for me I have chosen no induction unless there is no other choice but I understand that every woman is different (:

@junebaby, I know some hospitals won't until then. There is a strictly catholic hospital near me that won't until 42 weeks or if medically necessary.

@uhohitskyra, I don't want to be induced either. I heard its a harder labor but my due date is today and I don't see how I will ever make it through labor when I can't even sleep at night because of the pain. I have no energy and I'm afraid after another week to two weeks of this I won't be able to do it.

my doctor was/is the same way they don't consider until 41 weeks. even when I was in labor since I was 39 weeks & my labor wasn't progressing she started talking Bout pitocin then decided not to & was gonna send me home if I didn't progress

My midwife won't consider inducing until 10 days over due. Your due date is an estimate and can be off by up to 4 weeks and possibly more! That's why they don't induce you right away because they might induce too early without knowing! And ultrasound is not accurate! I mean they get the gender wrong sometimes and the weight guessing is wrong all the time!!

My doc normally won't induce until 41-42 weeks, but I have a medical condition to where he was going to induce next week (39 weeks) if I didn't go in to labor on my own. I can now also say from experience that pitocin freaking sucks, even already being almost 5 and in labor just stalled.

my doctor is cool with it im getting induced at 38 weeks if i even make it that far my first came 37+1 day and this baby is already ready but im i 100% fine with it i know so many people that it was just as easy/hard as there first but its deff all up to the doctor
