I'm a nurse and I've seen what forceps and vacuums can do when not used correctly. It's heartbreaking. I know sometimes they are needed in an emergency and usually all goes well, but I just pray I don't ever need them. That poor baby and the parents.
@alicia91, don't be nervous. bad things can happen but it isn't often. you'll be just fine. this is my fifth baby. I promise if it was that bad I would have stopped at 1.
@january10th like I understand you have to use some pressure but really??I was even afraid to hold my own baby the first days because they're so fragile 😞
Yea they are I'm not scared anymore of course cause this is my second but I was scared with my first too I'm glad they didn't use forceps or anything on my boys & I damn sure hope they don't start now

@junebaby That's really sad and makes me so paranoid now, don't they use forceps for csections also or no?

they sometimes use vacuums in c-sections and just enough to get the head lifted out.

@junebaby Its something that's done a lot but I wonder how much force was used on this baby, so so sad. I will be so paranoid on the day I give birth.
