It's not that common to not know till it's too late. It's more common to have false alarms. What I've read more about people stories are more like they went to the hospital and it was a false alarm a couple times then didn't want to go again for a false alarm but it was the real thing or the hospital was busy so they got sent home because the staff didn't think they were progressing fast enough but they were so hospital error.

i didnt know i was in labor i thought i was just having rly bad false labor before my induction so I went in Early and come to find out i was in labor and didnt need the induction but youll kno if the pain has you crying it prolly means ur in labor
