So I am about 5 weeks and this is my first. I am very paranoid about everything! I am trying not to be, but I just don't want a miscarriage or anything else to go wrong. Some days I feel pregnant and other days not. I also am overweight myself so I worry a lot about gaining too much weight or gestational diabetes. Ahhhhhhh my nerves are out of control!

I think everyone has their fear of having a miscarriage. I had one and then got pregnant 4 months later and had a healthy baby a little over a month ago and was so nervous that something would go wrong. It is a normal feeling, and I know it's not easy but stress isn't good for the baby either. As far as gaining too much weight or diabetes. Start off now with making better food choices and trying to keep sodas and desserts to a minimum as well as walking after meals. I am diabetic before pregnancy so I gained 18 pounds during my pregnancy and had to follow a diet. Walking helps a great deal whether you are diabetic or not. I am now down 8 pounds from my pre pregnancy weight. don't worry you will adjust and do just fine. Congratulations!
Listen, you will go through life trials and this is a big one. Whether it be a miscarriage or a birth. Just prepare yourself for a change. I personally believe in God and I believe he has the knowledge to do what he thinks is best for you and your life. When I first found out I was pregnant, my world spinned but Put my faith in God and the loved ones he has given me for support. Just stay calm and know that no matter the challenge it something you have to work through, just don't think you are ever alone. :)
