The reason we came out with vaccines was because fetal mortality rate was so high, sense 2005 the US infant mortality rate has dropped 12%. 2005-2011 infant mortality rate dropped 16% for four of the five leading causes of death due to vaccinations. @jstrong12712 your babies immunity is not even capable of fighting off half the diseases we have today. The risk of having your baby contract a life threatening/ life altering disease from being vaccinated is minute compared to catching a disease from not. But this is just my opinion.
your children are exposed to so much daily no matter what there is a risk for them to get anything vaccinated or not, personally I'm choosing to get my son vaccinated to help him out in the long run. I was vaccinated as well as every body I've ever known and they are perfectly okay.

I got the statistics off the world health organization, they have to list possible side effects, that shit rarely happens...pertussis has almost like a guarantee you will end up in the hospital with tubes down your throat fighting for your life. the statistics are there, it does way more good than bad.

What are the risks from DTaP vaccine?
Mild Problems (Common)
Fever
Redness or swelling where the shot was given
Soreness or tenderness where the shot was given
These problems occur more often after the 4th and 5th doses of the DTaP series than after earlier doses.
