When I hit 3cm dilated that means I'm in active labor and go to labor/delivery, correct?

I'm 3cm and 80% thinned out, a week ago my blood pressure was high and I was having mild BH when they hooked me onto the fetal monitor but even then, they sent me home because they weren't strong enough to make me dilate and before 39 weeks they won't induce you to help you along. You have to have contractions 3-5 mins apart and preferably strong so they can even think of admitting you. They're very strict on that and 95% of the time you will just go, get poked, fingered, and then sent home :/

no not really, they will send u home until real labor starts

nope just contractions here & there but nothing yet. I hope I've made some kind of progress I have an appointment tomorrow so we'll see, I'm going to ask for my sweep tomorrow hopefully she'll do it

yes ma'am, but once you get them 5 minutes or less apart you are officially in active labor. the doctor unfortunately won't do anything until then but you might want to ask about the membrane sweep see if they'll do it for you. that might get things going for you since you are already dilated

okay mine aren't regular but I feel like these contractions are making my cervix open more bc that's what contractions are is the widening of your cervix. @january10th

nope not till you're having strong contractions & they are about 5 minutes or less apart, & or your water breaks

from what the hospital told me you have to have contractions 5 minutes apart or your water breaks

if your having constant contractions or your water has broken than yes

you have to be having constant strong contractions otherwise they'll just send you home
