sooo...next week I get my cervix checked for the first time. what should I expect? what gets done to check it?

Well expect to be uncomfortable, lots of pressure & someone's fingers in your vaj Lol

mostly like a regular pap exam, why are they checking so early?

@meejay22, cervical check are definitely nothing like a pap. Lol I got checked at 36 weeks. thats when they usually start but all doctors are different.

okay, I was just curious. My Dr said they won't do it again until 40 weeks, it's funny how different things are between Dr's. hope it's not too bad.

@alhynele, lmfaooo! yes deep penetration. @meejay22 they do a pap I got one my first appointment but cervical check isn't the same thing but yea different doctors definitely do different things. at my on office some doctors don't check your cervix till there about 40 weeks just cause they feel it not necessary to do so. so that's probably why your doctor won't do it till 40 weeks or you're in labor but they are just using fingers when they do cervical checks they don't put anything in there
