All this debate on what makes a good parent and what doesn't.. Meanwhile there are kids in less developed countries that literally raise themselves on the streets from the age of 3. If your child has a roof over its head, food to eat, and a mother who loves him/her they are more blessed than about 50% of children on this planet. Never feel like less of a parent because of what you don't have as long as you give your baby what it needs and plenty of love and support. All of us mommies are just trying to give our children the best life that we can.
@alhynele, that's so awesome, seriously good for you. It's one of those things that one says she'll thank you for. I'm sure ill be guilty of spoiling my little one here and there, but it's just so dumb to measure the quality of someone's parenting based on how much they can afford. Some people will never understand that
This is so true! I've seen families who live on almost nothing be happier then those that have it all. I pray that I'm able to teach my child the true measure of happiness and love. I have deliberately not bought any unecesarry toys and asked relatives to also not buy toys, rather books or something useful and educational. I have nothing against toys and such but again, I want to teach her the value of the things she has
Absolutely :) living in America tends to skew our perception of reality.. We are all so blessed. It makes me sad that we compare ourselves as parents based on how many toys we can afford, or how big our houses are when in reality those aren't the things that make kids well rounded and truly happy! @alhynele
Yes!! Food, shelter, good health and love. Everything else is a blessing and a luxury. Which we are lucky to be afforded
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
