Has anybody here ever had the blood test to determine if your baby has down syndrome ?

me, in my second trimester around 17 weeks

did they tell you guys if there was a chance your baby did have it ? then they tested you & it came out negative?

I did yesterday

I went for a check up about a month ago & got blood drawn & then they called me 2 weeks later saying a blood test came out positive for possible abnormalities then they scheduled me a level 2 ultrasound & the dr said something in the blood test said my baby had a 1 in 52 chance of down syndrome & so i decided to get the blood test because it would be more accurate but he said the ultrasound. sound looked perfectly fine . he said theres always chances of false positives >.<

I got that test done when I was 14 weeks. they scared the crap out of me told me there was a SLIGHT chance he might have some type of abnormality so the did the test I got a call the next week telling me everything was negative & he was alright

ask for a second opinion of you want cause I was told my child was going to have a trisomy or die when I was around 15 weeks. then I had to go to a specialist and she said she wished they sent me to her first instead of making accusations. o my thing my baby has is a chromosome abnormality but so do I and I'm perfectly fine.

i had mine last week. I was told my child's neck was way thicker than it was supposed to be and my baby is just fine.

im over here scared as hell , now I have to wait a week or two to know if somethings wrong & im not the only one I know that has gotten scares like this. I just hope my babys okay since the doctor said that everything that could give warning signs for down syndrome on the level 2 ultrasound werent there. he even told me himself alot of doctors make the mistake of thinking its one thing then lettinf you know it could be false positive. I think I am going to look for a second opinion. intill that blood test my doctors would tell me my babys beyond healthy I just hope shes alright .-.
