Day8
5min before midnight here in CO I don't really have one I'm 50/50 on the epidural or natural I'm scarred I won't be able to handle the pain natural but I'm scarred of all the horror story's of the epidural so any advise or story's from already mommys please let me know!
I wanted the epidural because I can not deal with pain but I was fully dilated when they came to give me it. The pain is real, the contractions become so intense no position is comfy, i didnt want my bf or my mom to help me because i didnt want to be touched nor talked to or even stood near. then the pain of pushing just burns and they wanted me to push through the pain. its the worst pain i've ever felt in my life, both the contractions & giving birth. NEVER AGAIN! LOL but as soon as your holding your little one you forget all about the pain you just endured
of course. and if u have to have it I think you'll do fine the pain from contractions are 1000 times worse than the needle just don't look while they get it ready nd remember to breathe
Thank you I'm so scarred about it. I'm bad with needles to start off with! @kate0329
my epidural really wasn't bad just try and relax completely when the do it and do exactly what they say and you'll be fine if the have to do it . the worst part was the numbing but after that the rest was really easy
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

If you are wanting to go a more natural route, epidural isn't the only form of pain relief. I want to go no pain relief at all but it's my first and I don't knew how this is going to go and I know that the laughing gas is my best option. It is short term... You can use up to the pushing phase, you can use it when you want and it also doesn't affect the baby or your ability to move around. I don't want the epidural because tampering with my spine scares me, and I don't see the point of going through pain to get rid of pain. I have nothing against people who use the epidural! But i suggest taking a labour and delivery class or at least discussing your pain control options. For me the gas is the best option cause it doesn't affect your baby!
