people are VERY misinformed about the herpes virus.... im just in shock! if yall got questions I got FOR SURE answers.... unfortunately... ive lived with it for about 8 yrs now. not many kno I do but I feel like you ladies should kno the truth and not all these crazy rumors that go around with it. plus there are many exceptions depending on the TYPE you have.

I feel like people are too ashamed to talk about this publicly so I respect this post. honestly so many people don't know they have run across this virus at some point in their lives, some people may never even have an outbreak. I know that it is not a routine std test, most places do not bother testing unless you've had an outbreak, you specifically have to ask for a hsv test. I personally was terrified of getting hsv. hsv and hiv were my biggest fears, my bf found out he has hsv2, I luckily never caught it, not yet anyway and honestly I am not so terrified anymore.

these questions that this girl is asking seem a bit rude . anyway @mdomke22 I understand your pain . I'm 9 weeks && found out I had Type 1 ,but I found out in April with my last baby a month before I miscarried. Anywho me &&my; fiance don't have to worry about the sex part because I don't have Type 2 (genital). && haven't had a breakout (cold sore) && praying I never get one. I CAN say I'm blessed though . And as long as you're with somebody who TRULY LOVES you ,then you shouldn't even have to ask questions about that .

no we don't. because I can tell when I'm about to have a breakout so we just don't have any for about a week or two while I'm on meds. and the chances of him getting it while I don't have a breakout are extremely slim. I've only had about 3 breakouts for all the years I've had it(7yrs) @sexii_diiva
@sexii_diiva, you can have unprotected sex as long as there is no breakout you can have 1 breakout and never have one again for 10 years

My man I'm with now knows about it... it was hard af for him at first.... to be honest it is hard but there are men out there who CAN look past it.. and do because they love you. so tell her keep her head up! @sexii_diiva cuz ino how messed up she's feeling right now....
friend is super depressed about it she's always saying she can never date again and stuff and I always tell her that's not true, someone will love her regardless and that its just a skin condition that you have to deal with that's kind of inconvenient and if others understood that probably be better

yes very common... and the worst part is that guys can have the virus for a while and never show any signs @aicnov14 but one thing people don't kno is that cold sores on ur lip is herpes too...just a friendlier name to it.
true, I had a big scare during my pregnancy but luckily it came back negative...however I did research for hours every day obsessively! and still don't 100% understand how the testing alone works and this virus is so common. It's a shame.
