two of my friends have this and never been a problem around my kids, it can be spread thru skin to skin contact but i think they'd have to have herpes on thier hands or face for ur kids to get it

@tattooedwho you let them babysit your kids alone && stuff? I said I'd bring this to my Dr attention to get more details

I think they can only be at risk if at the moment she "broke out" but I would def get more details from your doctor😁

yea . because what if she doesn't know she is broken out ya know... && she may think its okay to let my baby drink after her && stuff. I'll rather be cautious. I know if it was one of my husband friends I would straight up say no this person not watching my child or anything... you just gotta be careful specially if the person doesn't have good hygiene @mariags

yes your baby always comes first! I totally understand you because I would do the same. I know someone who has this and every time she breaks out she has her son stay at her moms in tell she clears up again.

she has before but I moved out of state so not so much anymore , but do only what u and dad are comfortable with

@mariags @tattooedwho yes I just don't think he will be comfortable with it. I don't know how I feel yet. I don't mind hanging with her && stuff but I can watch what I do and stuff. A baby doesn't know any better but I'll talk to him about it && the doctor as well

@sexii_diiva, it's only contagious when they have and outbreak, otherwise if they are in remission they are fine , but it's your and your hubby's personal decision

Their was something on my news the other day where someone came in contact with a newborn and they had herpes and passed it to the baby at the hospital. Unfortunately no one knew so they let the baby go home and it passed away a few days later. Of course someone has to have a outbreak in order to pass it on to someone so as long as she doesn't have a outbreak I wouldn't mind. Just me as a parent I wouldn't allow him/her to be alone with my child (like babysit) but it is entirely up to you. I would talk to your doctor about it. (:

@sexii_diiva, you cannot get it through saliva, and if she has vaginal herpes you can't get it then either someone you know now may have a vaginal outbreak and you will never know, if your friend wouldntbhave told you you would've never known. not trying to be rude just get informed my best friend has herpes and has 2 kids both delivered vaginally and they have contracted nothing

@jadasmommy93 I know && that's what I'm doing. I am getting informed. I asked questions && opinions on here all the time.. but y'all not my only source. I Google , research && always ask Dr 1st. that's who I trust 1st && for most!!!

That's the least of your worries so long as she's not having an outbreak like it gets all pussie you are fine and if it's vaginal like I said it's the least of your worries if your son ends up getting it :/
