FTM I'm 22 weeks with A baby boy and I have been really thinking about circumcision but scared it might hurt to much and I don't want my baby going through so much pain the first few hrs of being born. any thought or suggestions?

And I'm sorry if I got a little pushy with my view!! Just do the research and decide what you believe is right for your baby :) whatever you decide to do its right thing for you and your baby :) good luck and I hope you find some good information :)
Circumcision is completely up to you! There is no medical reason to do it and if you do decide to do it it's not so painful but you should get done within 1 month of birth. The most common reasons are for sanitation (completely untrue), needs to look like his dad (I find this ridiculous... Like hey let's cut of part of your penis cause you should match your dad...), and religion. My boyfriend is circumcised and he is the one said we shouldn't because he didn't feel it was right to do. I was on the fence. But we spoke to a public health nurse and got information... Unbiased information. I believe my son is perfect the way he is and his penis will stay the way my body made it. But this choice is all about what you want to do, it's your son. You and the daddy get to discuss make the decision :)

I circumcised my son and plan on doing for my second. That decision is up to you completely, but in my experience to what I saw the procedure took less than an hour, he did not seem to be in any pain whatsoever, I had to make sure to keep it clean while it was still reddish, put vaseline and wrap a piece of gauge, it went away in less than a week. It seemed very quick and I would change his diaper but he never complained of any pain. In MY opinion, my husband wasn't circumcised but my son was and I can definitely tell the difference. When they're circumcised, it's just easier to keep clean and some who are not circumcised have had infections from what I've heard. My best friends brother who is 11 years old just had to be circumcised 2 months ago from an infection yet my husband has not had an infection so it just depends on the person :)

@mrs.hernandez.2013, im also a ftm with a baby boy! i really suggest you doimg research about what your most going for :) this topic gets alot of opinions and SOMETIMes arguments. I'm in the dame boat as you. my hubby is not circumcised and is totally against me wanting to circumcise our son. after doing research there is no medical reason to do it it's just a preference so now I'm confused and don't know what o want anymore but it's up to you whatever you feel is best is what you do.
