is it normal for my 6 day old to sleep ALL Day & NIGHT? Like she hasn't been up for more than 10 minutes. Even at nursings I get her awake for maybe 5 mins then she drifts back off.. she sleeps through diaper changes and everything. I know I should be grateful to be getting the sleep I'm getting but it's worrying me..
I have a question for u ladies that already have their newborns.. so my baby loves sleeping during the day and she is only 10 days old she wakes up at night and can't seem to get her down... I need to put her on a schedule does anyone recommend anything? she is also loosing weight I need to get her to gain weight... any suggestions? need help please
My August baby decided she wanted to be a May baby like her big sister. Madison Noelle was born on Tuesday, May 24 at 3:50pm, weighing 2lbs, 13oz and 14". baby sleeping too much? Is it possible? My 9 week old sleeps allll day and allll night.... She's awake about 4 hours a day maybe 5. It's to the point I have trouble getting her to eat. She sleeps so heavily I can't wake her without serious effort. She saw her pedi yesterday and she is healthy. But is it normal for them to sleep soooo much...
How much does your kids sleep around age 3 or 4? I feel like my daughter does not get enough she is up by 630 almost everymoring and its such a fight to get her to bed like 9 930 she refuses to nap. Is this natural? She even will tell you she can't sleep its hard for her.
Correct me if I'm wrong but wasnt there a user that was drugging their baby with tylenol or Benadryl to get them to sleep all day?

I talked to the nurse on call.. they said she is just going through a growth spurt. but I can bring her in tomorrow for a check up.. thanks for the advice and prayers.. @babyboolala @kaity0117 @sophmom

Yeah I can understand why you are nervous! And if she has gained weight since birth that's really good of course :) and it's possible that if she was born a little early that she is just a sleepy baby. I would maybe just make an appointment to discuss it with them. I am not a medical professional!! I wish I was ! But if she response to noise and will wake up to feed I wouldn't be too concerned but just to put your mind at ease I would talk to them :)

she was only 5lbs 7oz when she was born.. she's 5lbs 10oz now. so idk if it has to do with her being so small. idk I'm just nervous I'm trying to get used to this.. @kaity0117

What she born below or above average? Sometimes smaller babies and even big babies are lazy eaters. As long she is eating I wouldn't be too concerned but you shouldn't ever feel like a bad mom if you go in to ask cause your worried! I am in a experimental program in my province where a public health nurse makes house visits until my baby is 2. Or whenever I decide I don't want to be apart of the program. She has been a saviour so far. Don't be afraid to ask someone. Or even a family member who has younger children :)

She might be in a growth spurt they tend to sleep more her temp is fine soon she will be up all the time again but if you are worried you can always call the doctor

she eats while she's asleep.. she just won't stay awake.. and I took her temperature and stuff and it's 97.0 and it's supposed to be like 97.6 so idk I'm a new mom so idk what is supposed to happen lol @sophmom

Sometimes they go through a phase if you are trying to feed and are worried your lil one isn't eating try a sponge bath to stimulate them to wake up
