I just heard you can't take the pill and breast feed. I'm not using condoms. What are ya'll planning for using for birth control?? I am guessing the patch, ring, etc are out too?
you can, it's a select few. Talk to your doctor about it, when I was I talked to him and told me some stuff, but after I couldn't I started the shot. I think it's mostly IUDs that can be used.
Yeah, I'm really Considering it. just because I'm a first time mommy... if this was my second, I might just not worry about it, but because I really have no idea what to expect, I'll probably get on the pill.
@rachelmariecroxton lol right.. everyone isn't a fan of birth control so I understand.. but shyt I been on the pill all these years && soon as I stopped because I wanted a baby it only took 2 months... so I will get right back on the pill because I feel like my eggs were waiting for my ass to get off the pill so I'm scared now lol.. I don't want a 5 month old then pregnant again. I want to at least wait a yr
@sexii_diiva,
especially since nothing me and my husband hate when get pulls out.. Lol it's kind of pointless to even have sex if you're gonna pull 'out.
@sexii_diiva,
Haha you're probably right, but, the more the merrier, right? babies are fun. Haha. I'll probably get on the pill... Its just not good for your body.
@lauraj, it's s progestin only implant, they have a mini pill that's progestin only pill with the depo it acts as a inducers to menopause, I need lupron but I can't breastfeed if I get that, endometriosis spreads with every cycle and is very painful, never had any infections I was on depo for 5yrs and implanon for 3 it wasn't until I got off depo that they figured I had endometriosis
There actually is a nonhormonal pill you can take while breastfeeding... can't remember the name, I'll ask my doctor Thursday and try to send you what its called. I plan to breastfeed also, I told my doctor and that the pill is best because I take my pills religiously. So she mentioned this pill that works best...
@mrssabby, ok I'm completely dumb about this. If you don't have a period were you ever worried you would become pregnant and not know until late first trimester? And not having a cycle to clean out everything downstairs - wouldn't you have more yeast infections, bladder infections, etc? Can you use implenon- I just looked it up and it does release progesterone, isn't that why I can't take the pill? Sorry for all the questions but I have never taken anything else and never thought about having to use anything else.
Because I have terrible endometriosis I am getting depo so it will totally stop my cycles, plus it's short term, I need a hysterectomy so I need short term birth control with relief so the endometriosis won't spread anymore, implanon is safe also it is a implant the size of a matchstick that goes in your forearm it lasts for 3yrs, I had it and it got took out last December I had it for 2yrs 11mths worked great no period
And pulling out isn't very trustworthy, Haha but, birth control is an unnatural chemical put into your body to make your body think it's already pregnant... it's really, honestly bad for you, no matter the kind.
Mirena was what I was thinking... I didn't know it could do that, but I figured there was a downside and risks to it. my sister got it and said She's really happy with it. truthfully, after I have this baby, I was honestly thinking of maybe frying fixed.. I do t think I'm going to want anymore kids after this one... but, I'm scared if I get fixed I'll want more later..
Mmmm I don't know how trusty pulling out would be I've heard your body is extra fertile 6 months after birth. @rachelmariecroxton are you thinking mirena type of implant or something else? I've heard mirena can migrate and possibly damage your uterus.
I was thinking about getting the implant.. I refuse to use condoms.. either implant, or or pull out. Probably pull out just because I don't really believe in birth control.
