I told my mom I want to find a new doctor .. she tells me she thinks it's a bad idea since I'm practically almost done with my pregnancy .. I understand I'm 27 weeks but I want to know my doctor cares .. and feels the necessity to ask me if everything is ok.. I don't want a doctor who rushes me.. and she says well that's what happens when you have medicaid you get doctors who don't care.. excuse me for not having a job, if not I would pay out of pocket ...
any who I finally got my hmo card in the mail, finally after 3 months of waiting...
am I wrong for feeling like my doctor doesn't care because she rushes me and doesn't ask me if I'm ok? during appointments she just looks at the baby for like a minute then sees I'll see you in 2 or 3 weeks.. ugh

You have every right to feel confident when you leave your Dr. If your not feeling that then it time to find someone your comfortable with.

I changed from a doctor to a midwife at 25 weeks... If you think you aren't getting the care you need or deserve.... Or both!!! Then change! It will be better for you when the time comes for baby to make their entrance :)

I have Medicaid and I didn't care I felt the same way was 19 weeks moved Dr's you want the best care u can get I feel awesome at my new place get all my? s answered they seem to care and take their time

I knew it was okay for me to feel like I needed to switch doctors because I wasn't comfortable anymore. . even my boyfriend said he didn't like her. so the first thing I'm going to do tomorrow is go and look around and find my doctor . thanks so much ladies @yesenia5 @kaity0117 @single_ladi

i will be 35 weeks tomorrow and i have my first appt with my new doctor on tuesday. it's never too late especially since your baby's health is on the line. My doctor was the exact same they were careless and rude and just acted like all of my concerns were nonsense and i ended up in the ER so i decided to switch.

wow ! I can't believe some just don't care at all.. I know everyone wants to get paid when it comes to their job/career, but the importance of being a doctor is the health of your patient . so how else are we supposed to feel. thanks for sharing that with me @laura.mommytobe

Seriously anyone who has the option of midwife really really consider them. My midwife sits for a whole hour and listens to all my question (in fact told me to write down any questions so that I can ask her) she gives me non biased information on everything baby and is going to help with my goal of all natural but is also informing me of the pain killing options what the pros and cons are of each one!

I moved at 29 nine weeks and had no choice to find another doctor. It took me a week to find a doctor that would except me as a patient since I was already that far along in my pregnancy. Good luck though if you do decide to change!
