Made the mistake of watching a few birthing videos on YouTube and now I'm totally freaked out... I'm really nervous about giving birth. Does anyone have any positive notes from their previous labors? I am really trying to have a positive outlook but am so scared from those videos! 😢

it really is ! and yes. even tho some people do experience complications some dont and the doctors always get you thru it regardless. they comfort you a lot actually
@ndesmidt, thank you! :) I imagine every woman is nervous about it, it's amazing what our bodies are capable of. It's just good to hear from ladies who have been through it and don't have all negative things to say!
i got an epidural with my first when i was dilated to an 8...with my second i got one but had an allergic reaction and it wore off and i felt my son come out...both my kids were 9lbs and im tiny so yeah. no stitches or nothing. with this next one i get no epidural at all due to the allergic reaction. you will be fine. everyone is nervous going in labor you just think positive and the outcome is so worth it !!
@ndesmidt, did you use epidural? The birth itself is the part that really scares me!
When you are with those contractions and in pain all you will think about is pushing that baby out lol trust me

Birth Plan Rant
I used to be all about getting an epidural, but after research and thinking about it more I want to have an unmedicated birth (this is my first baby). What annoys me is when I say that I'm going to TRY my hardest to have a natural and unmedicated birth people always feel the need to say that I'm crazy or that I'm going to change my mind when I get in that position. Or that epidurals are the best. I do realize that plans change, but why can't people be supportive and encouraging?
I will not be tested for COVID unless I am showing all signs of having it! They taking newborn babies away from their mothers if they test positive. Over my cold dead body! No ONE will take my baby away from me bet!
Am I the only one that does NOT have a birth plan? I mean I just plan on going with the flow really...

@flowersssxo, the videos on YouTube are really tough births too.. My friend just sent me her birth video and it looked like a breeze. One push and done. Definitely NOT watching anymore online! They're scary!
