Okay moms, I have to get it off my chest. The negativity about gestational diabetes ends here! I have been a type one diabetic since I was seven years old. Moms are complaining about how scary and difficult it is for them to make it through the nine months (or said time frame) with this. Walk a mile in a diabetics shoes. I have miscarried before because of my diabetes, and I just want you moms to know its not the end of the world. It will be rough, to resist certain cravings. Just remember, its easier to have bad habits, than it is to keep good ones....such as diet. Instead of French fries, bake some asparagus fries in the oven. Or make some zucchini chips, instead of potato chips. String cheese over bread. Just know where to make good trades for the bad ones! Plus eating healthy TASTES so much better, and you FEEL better. I've been called small for 8 months pregnant, and diabetic! If any of you need advice or a friend, I'm experienced.

Girl, I'm just tired of moms thinking its the end of the world....

I understand that, they think gestational is the worse thing in the world, nope, we have full fledged diabetes, we fear miscarriages and premature/still born babies more then anything. we know there's worse things then a few months of gestational diabetes. hell I'd love to just have gestational instead of full fledged.
