does anyone know the policy of when the hospitals allow guests to visit after delivery? Bc my mil says she is gonna open the doors and come in as soon as she hears the baby cry. I don't want his whole family running in while I'm a mess. I want a chance to meet my baby. my husband is all for his family. he is a mommas boy and won't listen to me. so is there a rule that this isn't allowed. or do I need to tell my doctor ? I told my husband last night its my decision I'm having the baby.
when my sister in law had my nephew i went in and saw my nephew as soon as he was born. my other brother and his gf waited a bit but went in shortly after they were done cleaning my nephew up. @alicia_new_mom
Every hospital for SURE doesn't allow anyone in the room BUT the people who were in there for delivery for the first hour or two of the babies life, because of the bonding and you have to push your placenta out and get cleaned up. When you're in labor and you get admitted just make sure you tell the nurses that you don't want anyone else coming in either who wasn't present for birth. But almost all hospital policies are that. I sure as hell don't want my son bonding with anyone but me, my husband and my mom.. Especially since we are the 3 people he's going to be around 24/7. We all waited 9 months for this moment, it won't kill our MIL's to wait a few more hours. Baby isn't going anywhere! Lol
@kateferrera, I didn't mean to say I think it is. I ment to say do you think lol
and @kateferrera that's what I was wondering about the bonding time. I think it is normally an hour. Bc I don't want bonding with his whole family. it's our baby.
just tell them you want no one in there after you give birth for a while they will keep everyone out
Yea they won't don't worry you can ask them to do all the test & everything they need to do in the room with you
@january10th, good I don't want them to take away the baby I just wasn't sure
My mother in law said the same bullshit. I put her in her place though. I flat out said "no one but me, your son, my son and my mom are going to be in that labor and delivery room, you can come when they switch me to a regular room" and plus almost all hospitals won't allow anyone who wasn't in during delivery to come in until you've changed rooms, some are just the first hour of babies life because that's most important for bonding with mommy and daddy. Stand your ground mama, don't be afraid to be mean ❤️
usually baby stays with you at all times unless you ask them to take baby
well my hospital visiting hours are from 8 am to 9 am. even if they are immediate family if you request that they let you rest they won't let anyone in. they leave you in the recovery room for about 30 minutes & then take you to the room where you'll be staying. I'm going to be requesting to rest for atleast 8 hours before anyone comes to visit
even if they r his immediate family? how does it normally go? I've never been to visit someone in labor. do u have the baby then like 30/1hr people come in ? or how does it go?
I'm sure your hospital has times for visiting hours if it's too late they can't come in & you can surely request to let you rest for a while
Is it rude to not want anyone at the hospital?
I was just informed that my MIL wants to be waiting at the hospital so as soon as I pop out the baby she can rush in to be with the baby. I am really a private person and dont really want anyone at the hospital when I give birth (except my husband). I was planning on calling all the family to come to the hospital once I was all cleaned up and ready for visitors. Am I being rude? How do I tell them I dont want visitors a minute after pushing out...
My husband takes his cousin girlfriend to work. Should I be worried about the FEMALE coming on to my husband?

My August baby decided she wanted to be a May baby like her big sister. Madison Noelle was born on Tuesday, May 24 at 3:50pm, weighing 2lbs, 13oz and 14". She was born at 27 weeks and has a long road ahead of her. Every day she has been getting stronger and amazing everyone. Please keep us in your prayers, my family and I have a long road ahead of us. Congratulations to everyone and I wish you all wonderful pregnancies and deliveries! ??❤️
