My husband has been very supportive this entire pregnancy. I don't have to work he makes sure I get all the food I need for cravings and such, but I can't get him to interact with the baby. He has felt the baby kick once and that's it. Its like he has no interest in our son. He says he'll be more interactive when he's here and he can hold and feed him. Anyone else have this problem? Am I just being dramatic and hormonal?
pretty much the same exact thing here, My boyfriend doesn't talk to my belly but neither do I. he doesn't really love on it either but he will touch it and kiss it, just not anywhere near as much as I do. he has trouble showing his emotions and I don't think it's going to truly be real to him until she is born. he gets so excited shopping for her though because of all the outfits that have to do with daddy. I'm sure things will be just fine when your little one gets here and that he will, as he said, be more interactive then.
must be a mommy thing. I guess we've had a lot longer to bond with the baby.
Yeah lol that's how my boyfriend is, I mean he's not nearly as supportive as yours seems but with the feeling my tummy and what not he finds is a little awkward :)
@meganc, he says its weird to talk to and pay attention to a stomach. lol. guess since he isn't the one seeing the movements and feeling all the little jerks and stretches, all he sees is a big belly.
my husband talks to our little girl... she loves to kick when he talks to her. Some men don't feel like fathers until the baby is born
