Just curious, but what's everyone's birth plan? I'm low risk so I'm considering a home water birth because I'd prefer no medical interventions, but I know it doesn't really matter as long as baby gets here safe and healthy :)
What are your plans and why?

I had a midwife. I planned to deliver at her birth center. Water birth. After 36 hours of active labor no sleep I was tired and we made the choice to go to the hospital. To get a phentinal shot so I could relax a little. That's all I had. It wore off before I started to push I pushed for just over 2 hours. My hospital was actually really nice they let both my midwifes. My husband and my doula be in the delivery room with me. The nurses pretty much just were in the background and let my birth in team take control which was so nice. It wasn't what I thought my birth would be but it was just as good as I hoped. They asked before hand what I wanted so I got my son handed to me instantly before the placenta was out. Got to hold him for awhile before they did weight and measurements. Then within the hour the nurses and doctor was gone and my dad and other family got to come in.

what makes you want a home birth? I definitely have been wanting to try it but its obviously too late for me since im 8 months & I have a dr who wants me to deliver at the hospital. I know medical doesnt cover it though. how expensive would it be & are you willing to pay thousands to do it?

I'm considered high risk so my plan is an unmedicated vaginal birth at the hospital with a midwife

@makeartnotwarr69, My husband was really against it until I made him watch The Business of Being Born and now he's totally for it. But we also have a backup plan and doctor just in case because you never know what can happen. We also live like a block away from a hospital.
