ranting: last night me and my girls where supposed to all catch up considering we haven't hung out since we graduated…

I know how ya feel. Most people I hung out with dont have kids, and they just like to party. they want to hang out like old times when I'm not able to anymore. so I usually end up being thr sober idiot babysitting the drunks. no fun.

I hate it

I went through that with a really good friend of mine, she kind of thought she was better than me in a way because I had a child and she didn't. We hung out once and she spent almost the whole time talking on her phone with her other partying girl friends, made me feel so left out. Well, 6 months later she got herself pregnant and those same friends now ignore her and she wants to come crying to me, HAH! It's karma :)

You should take some mommy-to-be classes to meet new friends that can identify with you a little more! Your old friends will come around eventually, it's a hard thing to understand if you haven't been through it, impossible really. But maybe if you took a birthing class or prenatal yoga or even like a nursery decorating class (maybe offered at hobby lobby or Michaels?) it can be something simple, whatever you are comfortable with but as long as you're around other mommies or mommies-to-be there is great potential for a new friendship! I haven't met a pregnant woman yet who doesn't enjoy talking about her pregnancy and her little bean:) good luck!

I know the feeling :/ I have heard it gets better once the baby is here, I hope that is the case! It just sucks that they can't/won't be here when we really need them!
