how many of you use the term "My baby's dad" or "My baby daddy" and actually like it?

yeah, I feel like son/daughters father is a more respectful way to phrase. But I also hate hearing sperm donor/egg donor as well. There's always two sides to a story and I hate knowing children grow up hearing parents trivialized.
Samantha Chrystal·
I would use the father of my child.

I don't know why you got all upset mrstart, it's a simple question lol. Everyone has their own opinions and nobody's judging. I moved to this app because everyone from I'm Expecting is rude and has some type of attitude.... j.s... But my opinion, I hate that term more than anything! I feel it's disrespectful.

and could someone please explain to me what's the difference between "child's father" & "babies dad" the child is the baby and the father is the dad?? I honestly feel that its all just a ploy to feel better than someone. I'm a married woman too and its just never been that serious my husband knows I'm his wife just like I know he is my husband. we just don't feel the need to keep reiterating the fact. is all.
mrstart·
why does this question appear so much?? why not let people choose how they want to refer to there child's parent without judhment? as long as both parents are comfortable and answering to whatever they're being called I don't understand what's the issue. -_-

I can't stand that term. I had a post like this a little while ago I just feel like it's a ghetto term and I don't like it. I will never refer to my man as my baby daddy just like he would never refer to me as his baby mama. he hates the term as well. he is my life partner the person I hate everything with and also the father of my child. even if we weren't together I still wouldn't say baby daddy.

I do depending on who I'm talking to... if ii know you know I have a man I'll say baby daddy because its funny... but since I just got married I will retire the term &- use husband instead
Christine Ann·
I don't like it & never personally use it but I'm not going to judge others for using the term. I feel weird calling my SO my boyfriend bc it seems like he's more than that but truthfully that's all he is at the current time.

I just call him my boyfriend, like duh he's the father of my child so if people ask I say yeah. But we don't call each other baby daddy/mama. We don't like that.

I hate it, find it extremely in appropriate and trashy.

excellent point @waitingonnoah20 ... I definitely feel an offense to be called a "baby momma"
Liza Lou Castellanos·
@kismet_carri, that maybe good for you to call him that, but personally I feel it to be distasteful I agree with @wondermom to each their own.... to me "Daddy" is a term that is special between a child and their father but that term is earned not just given

I feel like referring to your bf/husband/fiance as your "baby daddy" is s little degrading as a partner. I wouldnt want my bf referring to me as his baby mother because im more than that. im his partner, were not separated.

I would catch myself using The father of child never babydaddy, But to each it's own at the end of the day it's all the same sh*t lol ive notice some people judge other females because they use the term BabyDaddy as much as I don't like it, it's not that serious , I would never use it tho lol.

@pinupmomma1, I have a 6 yr old with my ex bf and I guess I already feel like I have a 'baby daddy' already. I made sure to get married this time around to have a husband and not just another 'baby daddy'. I guess that's why I find it offensive and also a little trashy.
Liza Lou Castellanos·
@nmitchell, I feel the same... My 5 year old has a different dad than my now husband (who he considers to be his dad) and I absolutely cringe when someone calls his biological father my "baby's daddy" I correct people and say "my son's father" I guess I just feel a little trashy when people use that term
nmitchell·
@pinupmomma1, I was at the grocery store and someone asked about my pregnancy and I referred to my husband as my husband and the lady referred to him as my baby's daddy AFTER I called him my husband. I found it a little offensive but that's just me.
