called the doctors office even though they are closed cause it says someone picks up 24 hours. they couldn't help me with my question and if you have an emergency they say dial 911..well now what are they really there for??

usually you can ask to speak to an on call nurse and she or he will decide whether or not its serious enough to contact the on call doctor
