@cassiereyna14, she's far to young for her mind to work in that capacity and remember it. She's your babe so of course do what feels right but it's a myth that you could hold your newborn to much.

and trust me babes once she starts crawling she will not want to be in arms and you'll miss it. take advantage of it now cuz i promise they stop being cuddley and loving after they learn they can do it on their own. so take advantage of it now trust me love @cassiereyna14

that is something you gotta worry about when she knows whats going on around her. it wont become a habit until she's closer to a year old. i learned that with my son and my niece. right now you have to see whats going on. maybe she just wants momma to hold her or it could be gas massage her belly and push her legs up against her tummy. try giving her some chamomile tea too it'll help if its gas. holding her now wont teach her anything i promise you guys wont have to worry about that until she's older. and if you as a mother have an instinct to pick her up follow it dont second guess because of what you've heard. @cassiereyna14

That's a myth- "a bad habit". She just came from a warm dark place in your womb to a big bright loud world. She needs to be held, rocked, anything.

Try giving her a little baby back massage. Could be colic
