So what's the deal about birthing class? I keep hearing it's just watching videos but that costs $50??? I have YouTube. I have a friend who is a paramedic and is teaching me baby cpr and Heimlich maneuver. Has anyone gone to these classes and are they worth it??

they help us find massage he could give me and that I like they show us how to relax they show him how to take control of the situation wen I'm freaking out and how to make me come again is good is the first time I go to a class and I did it just 4 him
I like it this is my 3 I went to the class because is he's first so I wanted him to feel comfortable and know how to react in the esenario plus they teach him about c section about how to take care of Bb hombilical cord how u should take care of ur self in postpartum
they give u few videos plus show u different positions and teach him how to help u and how to make u feel comfortable
@dmariejj, was it something more than just birthing videos? My DH went through delivery with his first wife so he isn't the novice I am but I am very educated on what to expect, complications, etc?
I went but my insurance pay for the classes and they were in the hospital ask in our L&D and check if ur insurance pay for it or pay part of it
I did the class 10 days before I had my daughter, I completely thought and heard it was pointless, but, when I got out of it and everything I took a TON of Good info from it like focusing on how to breath whole in labor, and I definitely used that and they taught me positions they would put me on to help labor go along faster and I new what to expect for positions and it helps your labor partner no what to do to help you during labor, they show some videos but mine want like ALL videos
