It's an older one. $700 just for the fuel pump without the filter and fuel injectors. My hubby could do it, he just doesn't have the tools. I'll take my chances with the mechanic we found. I hate big box auto shops!
Newer? My man is a mechanic too and he said that's where they get you with newer cars because everything they have to drop to even get the the fuel pump. The labor is always where a mechanic will get ya I'm sorry hun
@missj_stephens, when the part is $160 and the rest is labor...its expensive, especially for the area where I live. We found a mechanic who will do it for $150 in labor..@meganc, its a suburban
