Wondering if this is normal. I've had 2 appointment with my doctor so far. One was just to get a pregnancy test done to confirm my home one. And another to do all my lab work and have like my first appointment. But we still have had no ultrasound. I'm 7 weeks and 5 days. She said she was going to put orders in for one and they would call me to sit it up but no one has called yet and and the paper she gave me with all the orders and stuff said a 14 week ultrasound. Is it normal to wait that long to do one?! Me and my bf are so anxious to hear the heart beat at least and are going insane waiting!

Some obs & midwives wait until 20 weeks. It really depends on the provider and if there may be any issues. Some will do an early one if you aren't sure about the dates of your last period.
I guess it must depend on the doctor have you tried calling & asking how soon?
@alegria10, the paper said U.S. 14 week ultrasound. So we are assuming it'll be 14 weeks. Yet when we talked to her about setting one up she said it wouldn't be to long for us to have to wait. So I'm confused. lol
My doctor only does early ultrasound if you experience spotting or cramping. He waits until 12 weeks to give an ultrasound. Every doctor is different. I know you are excited. I didn't get to hear my baby's heartbeat until 13 weeks.

I didn't get my first ultrasound till 9 weeks 14 weeks sounds a little far but I guess all doctors are different
My cousin's ultrasound she just sent me. She said the ultrasound tech first wrote one gender erased it and wrote another.

Only benefit of being high risk. In two weeks, I start weekly ultrasounds to measure my cervix. Waiting on a call from my OB to make an appointment to start progesterone injections. Two appointments every week. 😂😂
omg me and my cousin had our babys the same day and she just called and said she pregnant again I think she lying it ain't possible right ?
So I wanted to name my daughter Serenity & then my brother & parents called me after they had a whole house meeting saying the name “wouldn’t get her a job”.. now I’m back to square one 🙄
My mom said that 3D/4D ultrasounds are ugly and she wants to see a real one that's actually cute anybody have one that they dont mind me showing her to prove to her that shes crazy ??
its normal I had my first us at 13 weeks it sux waiting but its worth it
