so most moms are not gaining or thats what it seems like to them cuz the weight they are losing is being replaced by water weight, increase of blood, placenta uterus growth n baby.
I felt like I was all baby with my past pregnancies but turns out iwasnt. after the birth tho I automatically dropped 15-20 lbs from the placenta, uterus going back down to normal size, amniotic fluid, plus the baby.. so once u subtract that you really only gained about 10-15 lbs that will still be around after everything else Is gone.
they usually guesstimate the weight of the baby with ultrasound. by measuring how big the baby is.

well I only have gain 3 pounds and I'm 35 w nd 6 d but in September/5 when they weight my bb he was 3 pounds nd a half and by that time i wasn't gaining weighed so I can't imagine how much he weights now
how much u gain doesn't necessarily mean you will have a big baby. I. gained 60lbs with my 1st daughter and she weighed 4lbs 8oz. at full term. I lost 40 and gained 50lbs with my 2nd daughter and she weighed 5lbs 10oz full term. I lost that 50lbs and gained 20lbs while pregnant with my twin girls, together they weighed 11lbs. 4oz born at 34weeks. now I'm pregnant. with a boy and I've gained 20lbs, I have 16wks left and he weighs like 18oz. already. every pregnancy is different I've just learned to only eat when I'm really hungry and not just because imhaving a craving. babies eat every 2-3 hours, I find that I'm always having cravings every 2-3 hours, I can't eat that much, that's eating too much, if I ate. for every craving I would be 50lbs in already. its easy to put on but hard to get off! its a blessing being able to be pregnant but the weight gain can be horrible sometimes.

When they told you how much the baby weigh each time were they somewhat right ? Everybody that I know said they were wrong but then again you have to remember it's a guess they don't know untill the baby comes @bree31
