I'm expecting our second, another girl. It hasn't been long since the first . I've had a handful of friends that are on a similar schedule to me who opted to have (low-key) baby showers for their second child. In those cases, I was close to them, and very happy to have a chance to get together and celebrate the new arrival.
Here's my question: what do you all think about showers for children beyond the first? I find that I'd sort of like to have an opportunity to gather with friends and family and celebrate the impending new life--more of a baby party than a shower. But, I'm really curious about where public opinion falls on this sort of thing these days.

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
