This may be dumb questions, but when are you supposed to start dialating? What are reasons you would have to be induced?

Im 33 weeks and 5 days, is it safe to sleep on my back??? I know people say to only sleep on your side but ive always slept on my belly and now sleeping on my back is the only comfortable position to lay in but i dont wanna hurt my baby!
