I haven't shared anything since my littlest man was a week old... he's now three weeks old! Still going strong with breastfeeding. And it is a whole lot less painful than it was in the beginning. Lefty is a little more sensitive than Righty though. And at his one week check up, he gained 10 ounces from birth weight and over a pound from the weight he was at when we were discharged.

He also knows when I'm going to pump... he wakes up and demands to be fed.

But we have EBF for 5 days now (supplemented first two days to make sure he was getting what he needed while we worked on latching) but man do my nipples hurt! We were discharged late last night, like 11pm late. But we enjoyed today. Greyson had his first check-up (that's how we got discharged so soon) and he is doing great! Haven't had to supplement with a bottle since his 6am feed. He's been going 20+minutes strong on each side, and he is a sleeper! Like his mommy he enjoys sleep!

I am so proud of myself. Since Greyson was born yesterday I planned to give breastfeeding my best try. Yesterday was an insanely LONG day!!! All starting at 5am to get myself ready for induction and my kids ready for school. Induction scheduled for 715. Thank the Lord my mother in law had the day off so she could come and help us with the kids. We left for the hospital and she finished getting the kids ready and took them to school. My 7 year broke my heart tonight. I typically put her to bed and go in a cuddle with her, only if her room is clean, and run her back for about 10-15 minutes at bed time. That's what we do, she's my cuddler. But tonight, like so many nights, she's not having the sleep. She wants to stay up and hold me hostage in her room. She always ends up in my bed at some point in the middle of the night.
