Купила 2 цыпленка для курицы после вчерашнего! Как она счастлива и заботится о малышах?
After the devastation yesterday, last night I went and bought 2 baby chicks and gave them to mama hen and she was so happy! I cleaned and rearranged my coop so she’s on the ground with eggs and babies. Still hoping that other egg hatches but if not she’s happy at least. They were climbing all over her this morning and she just let them. Makes my heart happy

I don't know why I thought you only had hens at home. I'm so sorry to hear about your baby chick. How did you make sure the babies weren't touched by humans before getting them for her?

I got a rooster last year, so he was old enough this year to start doing his job. lol
At the store the man put gloves on when he got the babies out of their container. Last night I washed my hands then when I gave them to my hen I was very quick. Since she’s on the floor with more room she shouldn’t squish them. The issue yesterday was her box was too small for her and baby and eggs.

Oh, I see. I didn't even know chickens could squash their babies. I've always seen the chicks hiding under their moms. I'm excited about the other egg, fingers crossed for that one
