I’ve been bummed all weekend long. I’d requested some books from the library about 2 weeks ago and hadn’t heard anything. Saturday I got an email saying my hold was cancelled. Well of course the lady in charge of that wasn’t in over the weekend. So I called her first thing this morning (and she knew it was me before I even said my name 😆) and she’s aware the computer messed up and didn’t notify me so she’s working on it so I can still get the books. The third one they are purchasing so I can check it out also. This is so cool and I’m a happy lady right now!

Download the kindle app and Libby on your phone. You can check out books with your library card.

The kindle app, I don’t have to actually have a kindle?
My kids all have a kindle but for whatever reason I don’t. I have an iPad 😆

@supermomof4, nope, you can download the app on any device. I have a kindle and tablet and still only use my phone 😅

I do recommend getting the kindle app/a kindle because you can burrow ebooks from your library free!

@supermomof4, I do both 😂 but kindle unlimited is also worth the $12 a month depending on how much you read. I occasionally put books on hold or request them as needed

@harleyquinn13, I read quite a bit. At least 4 books a month. The library sells used or slightly damaged books for .25 cents each or you can fill a brown paper sack as full as you can for $1. So I do that all the time.

@supermomof4, def look into it! Lots of data bases will have the e-copy of a book and not the physical one.
