What usually happens when u fail both 1 hour and 3 hour glucose test this first time failing it

You’ll be referred to a nutritionist who will explain to you how you should eat for the remainder of your pregnancy and you’ll have to take your glucose levels through the day.

@blessed7, it sounds hard in the beginning but once you get the hang of things it’s pretty easy. You’ll have to completely cut out sugar and watch the amount of carbs you eat. But your nutritionist should be able to help you make a plan that works for you

It means you have gestational diabetes. I had it with my last 2. We they didn't nessesarly say I did with my last. I basically told them I was not doing the 3 hr again. Ill just keep track of my sugar levels like last time. They had me do that for about 6-8 weeks said I was good and to check as needed since my levels was in range for the most part. I did change my eating habits as if I did have GD and cuntinued the rest of my pregnancy. Your also need to most likely get a non stress test done 2xs a week as well to make sure baby ok. Mine where generally about half hr give or take.
