Ds come down with hand, foot, and mouth on Monday evening. It was rough, but he seems to be getting over it well. He didn't have any fever, or sores inside his mouth, only a bad sore throat that I got a numbing spray for so he could eat. He only had really bad itching on the bottom of his feet that I doused with calamaine lotion 😅 It didn't really help the itching, but it seems to have really kept the rash at bay. I don't know what to expect going forward, but the worst of it has only been 3 days.

Now it seems that dd is coming down with it too, but she had a fever and has two spots on her tongue 😩 She's tougher than my five year old though, and so far she's only cried because her throat hurts when she eats, so I got her a throat numbing spray too. I have some oral benzocaine in case she develops mouth sores. Hand, foot, and mouth is rough... I just keep thinking about how I will not do well if they ever get chickenpox. I see the very early beginning of a rash on her feet, so I'm bathing them in calamine too. The internet says it'll last roughly ten days. I wish I could fast forward to day 10.
