I need some mom advice. I am actively working with my sons pediatrician to determine if his food aversions for the last month are behavioral or due to a swallowing disorder. For weeks he was surviving on mostly liquids and would spit out many solids. The past week and a half he has been increasing his solid intake!
Today I got a letter from his reading tutor whom he sees after lunch once a week. She stated for the past 2 sessions he had stomach pains causing him to moan and writhe in pain (it happened today and I got a call from the nurse). She seemed to allude that I wasn’t packing him good enough food and I want to explain to her that I’m packing what he’s been recently eating at home and we believe the recent stomach pains are because he is beginning to eat more solids.
She did not provide an email to contact her back but because I also work for the school district I was able to look her up. I also feel because she contacted me via letter and not email means she might not want me contacting her. Should I let it go or explain it all to her? She also mentioned that he doesn’t always have enough time to finish his meals and I would like to ask her if she would allow him to finish with her. Am I doing too much? 🥴
