I’m thinking of pull my daughter from her school and into home school because of the sex Ed coming to her school. How is home schooling.?
Look I know it’s not right to harm other people, but I understand her.
My Aunt is moments away from dying and her own husband and kids can only say goodbye to her through a glass. She is dying from the virus. It’s truly heartbreaking and I can’t even imagine not being able to say goodbye in person. Please stay home, please think about others before you do something stupid like running to a park because you are bored etc. 😭😭😭
So it's hard for me because my 16 year old past the test when she was in third grade and my niece passed it last year and now all my daughter's friends will be going to the third grade and she will be repeating and I don't want to send her back to the same school to be bullied because she has to repeat a grade and so I'm looking into other schools but see the thing is you teach her something she gets it then you go back to it and she like I don't know it so frustrating and she likes to wonder off so I'm scared to bus her because they lost her 2times on the bus and just the other day they let her walk home by herself I'm just in over my head please pray for me that I can find the right school and get an understanding of what to do
Thoughts on waiting another year to start daughter in preschool. Our district doesn’t have a spot at the moment. So we have to find a preschool ourselves. We applied to Headstart but we make too much money so lower income families get first spots. But both districts have her at the top of their waiting list above others because she needs/receives speech therapy therefore they want the grant money that comes along with her being enrolled. It’s just so frustrating. I feel that worth Covid we know nothing of what’s going on and I still don’t have a school for her at this point. But she could also benefit of waiting another year but it would also benefit her to go. I just don’t want to send her to school if it’s going to be super restrictive because of Ohio’s guidelines set for Covid. Am I wrong or selfish?! Also I fear then her brother and her will be in the same grade if I wait to send her. Which isn’t terrible but I feel comes with it’s own set of problems.

With all the RSV, flu, and Covid going around right now, I definitely wouldn’t be visiting urgent care. If you’re concerned wait til Monday to see your doctor. Pinkeye is not urgent.

Pinkeye is super common and very minor. Most of the time it’s caused by a virus which means there’s nothing you can do for it other than let it run its course. That’s very likely what you’re dealing with. You can make an appt with your pedi if you want to so you can get antibiotic ointment just in case it’s bacterial, but since it’s been going around at school it’s almost certain that it’s viral. I wouldn’t take my kids to the doctor for it unless it didn’t resolve on its own after 4 days or so.
Keep it clean with gentle wiping, use warm compresses to help the swelling/discomfort, and help keep her comfortable.
Disinfect surfaces often and have her wash her hands frequently so that it doesn’t spread to the rest of your household. It should self-resolve in a few days.

@justgotaname, @mommyx2plus1, this is my first experience with pink eye so I’m completely clueless! I had no idea there were drops and stuff for it! I’ll definitely take her tomorrow and hopefully she’ll get some relief! Thank you ladies!

I wouldn’t wait, I would take her to Urgent Care ASAP. There’s no telling what shape her eyes will be in by Monday if she’s needs medication. The eyes can be very delicate.
Also, if she gets on pink eye meds tomorrow (if needed), she should be able to go back to school Monday. I believe she has to be on meds for 24hrs before going back to school…. Not super sure about that, but urgent care could tell you.

I would go tomorrow. Quicker you get the drops the better. Hope she feels better soon!
