Ok so I have 2 questions. First question, anyone else 10 month old doesn’t have teeth yet or just mine? Second question, what age did you all start transitioning your babies to whole milk? I know not this early I’m just wondering lol
I didn’t have teeth until like 11 months old then I got them all really quickly. And for whole milk, we started around 12 months with my oldest and added a little at a time to the bottles, changing the ratio of breast milk and whole milk as he adjusted. For my youngest, I wasn’t able to do the ratio thing (didn’t have any pumped/wasn’t pumping) and after a lot of trial and error, he would only drink goats milk. The ratio adjustments went much more smoothly and took a shorter amount it time.
Thats another thing I was wondering. My son is on hypoallergenic formula so I was worried about how he’d do with whole milk so I was thinking about other options such as goat milk
@momofkem_sam_med, whole milk is recommended due to the fat content. So as long as he’s getting healthy fats and nutrients from other sources, the kind of milk he is on isn’t super important. Neither of the kids drink any sort of milk regularly now and mainly get dairy through cheese or yogurt. You don’t need milk to have a healthy diet 😊
My daughter got her teeth early and all at once, it was like 2 straight months of awful teething. We switched her to whole milk full by 14 months, I transitioned her over by adding like 1/4 milk to the rest formula after she turned one, then 1/2 and 1/2 around 13 months, and so on.
Ok cause my daughters got theirs between 8 and 9 so I thought something was wrong. And I haven’t had a baby for almost 5 years so I don’t remember the whole transition thing 😂
