Need advice after C-section, pain and uncertainty
I need advice from C-section momma’s.
Graphic picture below!!! Beware ! I need to know what you ladies think is going on and if I should go to the hospital or if I can wait until Monday when my doctor is around. Any thoughts on what’s going on. I just had my C-section a week and a day ago.
Click on the picture I added below its causing extra pain and I’m not sure if this is normal or not.

Do you have a nurse line you can call? It’s a holiday weekend and the ER is gonna be packed, you’ll likely be waiting for hours. C sections are major abdominal surgery that hurt. I would refrain from pulling at the incision.

doesn’t hurt to try and call. Or go to urgent care instead of the ER. Stuff like this will typically be low priority if you aren’t running a fever, vomiting, are able to move, there’s no bleeding or smelly discharge from the surgery site, etc. Definitely a choice you’ll have to make for yourself if you think it’s worth it or if it can wait until Tuesday. Does pain medication help? If pain is uncontrollable with meds then it’s probably more urgent however pain at this point is very expected and normal.

yes I’ve had a C-section before and vaginal births before too so this is unusual to me. Yes I know pain is expected and what I pain is normal and this pain doesn’t feel normal. It got worse once it started opening or doing whatever it’s doing. I been taking pain meds it’s been helping a little but not a lot. I will wait unless it starts getting worse.

No it just hurts and it concerned me.

From the pic, I think it looks okay, wash it and let it air dry completely and then put something on it to help stay dry.

yes, to keep it clean of bacteria. Use a mild soap like Dove original and just use your hand, NO wash cloth.

I used a baby cloth yesterday and today I will definitely not do that next time. I dog it soft and slow.
