I've tried so many times to make bread and this was my best turnout yet! My guess is adding too much flour when kneading or not kneading long enough. I let mine rise for an hour, punched it down and kneaded it for a minute again and then let rise again for 30-40 mins in the loaf pan before baking. So much trial and error. My husband makes it look so easy, his are always flawless. Mine are usually sunken in and a little doughy or super dense. I was so proud of myself with this one!

A bread machine is a life saver for that. They usually always come out perfectly!

I have one my mom gave be but I've never used it 😂
