Как можно забыть ребенка в машине? Просто не понимаю! Разве это нормально? История из жизни

My son can buckle and unbuckle himself at this point however my rule is that he is never allowed to unbuckle due to some mishaps as a toddler and it’s stuck. I really don’t understand this either but some parents are just on “autopilot” esp if they aren’t the primary parent to do daycare/school drop offs or pick ups. I was blessed with a kid that never stopped making noise in the car. Either he was screaming crying or now does not sleep whatsoever or stop talking. There have been soooo many precautious and tips set in place for parents who might forget though. Someone was like “if you give your kid your phone or wallet every time you’re in the car you’d never forget them” which is so sad but is a helpful tip and practice I guess. Idk. It just would never be me.

I won’t get out of the car until she’s unbuckled and opening her door. I then lock and close her door behind her. I would never allow her to even stay in the car or go in without her next to me. I don’t understand how a parent could forget their kid is with them. Or even not be right behind them as you go in the house.

It’s so sad I just had a old man yell at me for not putting my cart away no my baby’s life is way important then putting a stupid cart away. It’s been in the 100’s here my house is even hot I make sure it’s just right for the kids

I always make sure to get the baby out then big sister this has always been the way I do it since the baby was born

I always open the door for her and watch her come out of the car. I do not feel comfortable just walking inside the house, even though she is ten. Just a mommy instinct.

Was there another sad case of child left behind? 😿

My son is 7 and I open the door for him to get in and open it for him to get out. And I make sure he is the first in the house when I open the door to the house I will never understand how anyone can leave a child in the car ever.

So very very sad! I thought this was on here until I saw the news. I am just at such a loss for words and I have so many damn questions. The one good thing about my car is if I open the trunk or the back doors it will let me know when I get out to check the trunk or the rear seats

She thought he went inside but didn’t notice he wasn’t by her side at the store after a few minutes? Unbelievable. So heartbreaking. 😭

How do you not know where your child is for hours?!

Such a shame. Damn that's sad. That poor baby. But wtf does the lock have to do with it and how tf you don't see or hear your baby for hours?
