I honestly don’t understand how women let weaponized incompetence go.
I was watching a tik tok and an interviewer was asking dads questions about their kids and not one dad knew anything about their child and everyone is laughing like “haha typical dad”.
NOOOOO!
One dad didn’t even know that his son had a peanut allergy and he’s like “oops”.
How is that funny?
Or the joke “I have to print the pictures of the groceries when my husband does the shopping?”
You telling me a grown ass man doesn’t know how to shop for groceries?

It depends. My husband is the breadwinner. He works 2 jobs. Military and evenings at Lowes. He also sometimes has to train or take classes like right now and can be away for 2-4 weeks. I on the other hand am a sahm and with my kids all the time. I know a lot more of our kids than my husband does. We have to be reasonable too. Now if that dads are sahd and knew nothing about their kids… that’s a different story lol

In my opinion, even then he should know if any of his kids has an allergy, what school they go to, their birthday, blood type, etc. I’m not talking about small things like how they like their sandwiches cut.
And this next statement isn’t specific to your husband but just in general, if men have room in their heads to know every single thing about their favorite sports team or player then they have enough room to know about their kids.

If I didn’t know how bad a memory my MIL had, I would be more irritated at my husband for some of the things he forgets. That being said, I do hold him accountable and expect him to participate in things relating to the kids. Even if he can’t come, he’s got all their appointments on his calendar and he does his fair share of parenting when he is home, regardless of who works more hours. I am not on tiktok but this sounds like one that would irritate me greatly and I wouldn’t be laughing alone with the incompetence.

What I think about this is, if mom worked 3 jobs, traveled often for work, trained for marathons and tamed lions, if she didn't know that her child likes their cheese in cubes, and not it slices, she would be demonized. But we find all types of excuses for men's ignorance. I'm not on TikTok, but I'm disgusted by this video I've never seen, lol
