When my kids were younger I used to bring a beach wagon with me (the kind with the big wheels). I'd fill it up with all our beach supplies (towels, change of clean clothes, toys, umbrella, chairs, etc). Then when we'd get there, I'd unload the wagon and set everything up and then the baby would take naps in there after I put come towels down for a little cushion. It always worked out great!

Small Laundry basket “even 1 from the dollar tree” so u don’t get sand all over your stuff , beach toys / hats/ towels let it all shake out in the basket so it can fall out before placing back in your car “ with kids so young I would bring a small plastic pool too . Are you going only with your 2 very young kid’s. When my sister had her twins 1 would run to the right and the other to the left so not always easy to chase 2 toddlers alone

Water shoes. I had to carry my daughter because the sand was too hot for her and so many rocks in the lake.

Simple Munchies that do not need forks or spoons to eat with. Keep it simple, there is sand everywhere lol.
I sometimes see parents with small splash pads/pools for tots to go in instead of the wavy water. I dunno if this is genius or not. I have never done it.
