Just spent an hour and a half at urgent care with my younger son. He was at the lake Saturday and came home Sunday and found a tick. I removed it all in one piece and put tee tree oil on it. This morning be woke up puking and now the spot is red. They told me they can’t do bloodwork until 2 weeks after a bite! I’ve never heard that. But they are giving him an antibiotic just in case.

I was 8, so a million years ago, I had tick fever and I still remember it. Several people holding me down and the dr using these tweezer like scissors and trying to get this tick out of my ear. The headaches and upset stomach from that was awful. Then the fever hit and wouldn’t go down. It was just horrible. I’m definitely not wanting my son to deal with that.
