Холодный рис в школу: можно ли приготовить заранее и как?
Possibly stupid question but here goes! If my boys have packed lunch for school it's usually sandwiches, fruit, crisps etc. Max has been asking for rice which I'm happy to do but I've only ever cooked rice & eaten it for dinner. Never pre-made or had it cold. Can I cook it the night before & he has it cold? Or re-heat & have it warm by lunch? I don't have time to cook fresh in the morning 🤣

Can’t you buy the microwave packets rice? That take 2 mins in the microwave?c

I don't really like that stuff. I cook rice for dinner & add veg etc. Just never thought to have it as a lunch before 🤔 I've noticed some kids at nursery do it & always wondered if the parents cooked it in the morning or night before 🤣

As long as once it's cooled its refrigerated over night he can have it cold or have it reheated the following day.
You can only reheat it once though 😊 x

As above, ive given Maya rice, and pasta dishes in her lunch before 😊 it's something that's fine to eat cold tbh
