What are those bumps above my collarbone?
Have anyone noticed 2 bumps on both sides above collarbone?? I’ve had this for the past 2 months. And I’m curious to know what it could be ?? I was told it was lymph nodes but why do they swell??

I went to the doctor a couple months ago for a lump on my throat and was told it was scar tissue.

I wonder what does my situation mean. The swollen is on both sides. I will ask my OBGYN when I get my anual next week

@mamaofemily, I wouldn’t ask an OB/GYN. This would be a question for your primary doctor.

I would recommend contacting your PCP. Generally they swell when you’re sick and your body is fighting a virus or bacterial infection. If it’s been longer than 2-4 weeks you should get another check.
Edit: they can also swell after a vaccine.

The only vaccine I got was the COVID but that was back in July and August. And I’ve noticed the bumps on both sides above collarbone since December I went to get it checked but they said it was swollen lymph nodes but my question is why are they still there after 2 months

@mamaofemily, They shouldn’t still be there that long, unless they are still fighting off something.

@dontblockmesis-imjustspeakingfacts, what I’ve noticed is that sometimes there swollen and sometimes there swollen but not that much

It can be a response to an illness. Either viral or bacterial. Definitely bring it up to your doctor though. They can take a small sample to send for testing.
